Hi There! I'm Rita Sellars, a Formulation Chemist with over 25 years of experience in developing skincare, personal care, and wellness products across not only Australia, but globally. I’ve worked with some of the country's most respected brands, specialising in ingredient science, product safety, and skin health. But Clean Swim wasn’t born in a lab, it actually started at the local pool.When I took up adult learn-to-swim classes, I quickly discovered an all-too-common problem: chlorine lingered on my skin and hair long after I left the water. Even after showering, I could still smell it. After a few weeks, my skin began to itch, and I found myself wondering if swimming was worth the irritation.When I asked the instructors and ohter swimmers how they handled it, they shrugged and said, “You just deal with it.”So as a Chemist i thought, " I don't have to put up with this, surely i can create a range that can tackle this right?!" ... so i did.I created Clean Swim, a targeted range of chlorine-neutralising products designed to remove pool chemicals while being gentle on skin, hair, and even swimwear and towels. What began as a personal solution quickly grew into a brand that now helps thousands of swimmers, young and old, enjoy their time in the pool without the chemical side effects.
